How does the 30-day free trial work?

You have 30 days to try any of our paid plans at no charge. If you choose not to continue using the service, simply cancel within 30 days and you won't be charged. We'll send you an email about a week before your 30 day trial is up as well, just to make sure your experience with Dojo Learning is as positive as it can be.

If you do choose to cancel in the future, you will not be charged again, but you are responsible for charges already incurred before then. We cannot issue refunds for any monthly fees.

Do I get a 30-day free trial if I upgrade from the free plan later?

The 30-day free trial applies only if you are signing up for a paid plan now.  If you upgrade from a free account to any of our paid plans, you will be billed at the time of upgrading for your first month and you will have immediate access to the upgraded features.

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes, you can change plans any time you want. Simply go into your account Settings and you'll see a "View/change plans" link at the top of the page. There is no extra fee for upgrading or downgrading, including downgrading to the free plan.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Currently we only accept payments online, so we cannot invoice you or take orders over the phone or by cheque.

Please note that all of our prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), which are fairly even with the US dollar these days.  We can sell internationally to most countries however.

How do the lesson sales work?

You may post any lesson you create for sale on in your lesson store, which also appears on the dojolearning.com website.  You choose the price of your lesson (minimum $10.00 and no max price) and we take 15% as our administrative fee.  That includes all costs associated with taking the secure payment and issuing payments to you.

We pay you monthly when your sales reach $50 or more for that month.  If your balance is below $50, it simply rolls into the next month until $50 is reached and we pay you then.  We can either pay you by cheque or through Paypal, whichever you choose in your settings.  If you are a Canadian business, we collect GST from lesson sales to Canadian learners, so if you provide us with your GST registration number we will automatically add GST calculations to your payments.

Is there any long-term contract? Can we pay in advance?

Dojo Learning is strictly a pay-as-you-go service. There are no long-term commitments on your part and you are free to cancel at any time with no termination fee of any kind. If you cancel, your account will be immediately deactivated and you will not be billed again.

We currently don't offer a pay in advance option, however if this is a really important factor for you please contact us and let us know. If there is enough demand, we will certainly add this option.

What if we go over our monthly bandwidth limits?

We will attempt to notify you by email if you begin to approach your bandwidth limits, so that you can act to reduce your bandwidth usage or upgrade to a larger bandwidth plan.  For paid plans that exceed their monthly bandwidth, we will bill you on your next month's subscription fee at a rate of $0.20 per GB (one GB is equivalent to just under 5 hours of video streaming at our video compression rate).  Free accounts may be capped once they reach their bandwidth limits, and subsequently images in their lessons may no longer load.
